Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad-al-Maruf carried out a raid and freed the health center which had been in illegal possession for almost a century. Many people said that the health center came back to life after an era as it was free from occupation. Upazila executive officer Mohammad-al-Maruf said, "The health center was freed from occupation last Wednesday by the order of the Deputy Commissioner after the news was published in various media. Some illegal structures have been demolished. Those who built the remaining structures are demolishing them themselves. For this they have been given 3 days time. It was seen on the ground on Thursday that those who built the illegal structure are demolishing it. Local sources said that former MP of Gaibandha-1 (Sunderganj) Constituency and former Upazila Chairman Waheduzzaman Sarkar is the donor of the land of Badsha Belka Union Health and Family Welfare Center. occupied Occupying the site of the health center, he left his six-mill tree circle and occupied the western part of the site and built a few shophouses and rented them out. Apart from this, the current Upazila Parishad Chairman and Upazila Awami League Joint Convener Ashraful Alam Sarkar was occupying some rooms on the second floor of Lebu Health Center and using them as temporary office. His brother Anichur Rahman kept the crab car in the grounds of the health center for a long time and turned it into a garage. The officials and employees working in this health center were also calm. They also did not even complain anywhere to vacate the health center which has been illegally occupied for almost a century. Besides, a medical officer, nurse and pharmacist appointed by the government are supposed to be there from 8 am to 2.30 pm, but there is no problem with that rule here. In this, about fifty thousand people of Belka, Shantiram and Haripur Union were deprived of health services. Although the health center was illegally occupied by two local influential people, no one had the courage to open their mouths to protest. Finally, after the news of illegal occupation of Belka health center was published in various media, it came to the attention of higher authorities. After receiving the instructions of the District Commissioner, the Upazila Executive Officer vacated the health center. When former MP Waheduzzaman Sarkar Badsha was contacted in this regard, he said, 'I have donated the site of the health center. As there was space, I built a shop house. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Abul Fattah said, "From now on Belka Union Health and Family Welfare Center will provide regular medical services.
